Mark Ipson

Mark Headshots 15Mark Ipson is Manager of HILGARTWILSON’s Water Infrastructure Group.  Mark is responsible for overseeing the design of water and wastewater infrastructure projects for both public and private clients.  Mark’s experience includes hydraulic modeling, preparation of water and wastewater master plans and studies, facilities design and permitting, providing construction-phase engineering support, and performing site improvement evaluations for both public and private clients.  His background includes the planning and design of well sites, chlorination systems, storage reservoirs, booster pump stations, lift stations, and water and sewer mains.

Prior to joining HILGARTWILSON, Mark served as a project engineer for an international engineering consulting firm.  Mark has worked directly with public and private clients and utility owners on a variety of projects ranging in size and complexity from small valving modifications and alignment studies, to the planning and design of large scale water delivery and wastewater collection systems.  By working closely with the client, contractor, permitting agencies, and other project stakeholders, Mark ensures that the proposed improvements adequately meet client needs.

Mark has a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering, with an emphasis in Water Resources, from Brigham Young University.  He is licensed in both Arizona and California and is also a LEED Accredited Professional.  Mark is a member of the American Water Works Association.
