Ideal candidates will have a BSCE degree and preferably be licensed in the State of Arizona as a Professional Engineer. A strong background in one of more of the following is preferred: land development & infrastructure (residential communities) or site development. Responsibilities:
- Prepares reports, final design plans, technical specifications, and other technical documents with limited assistance
- Responsible for quality control, schedules and plan production
- Delegates work within team and gives team technical guidance assuring design is technically sound and cost efficient
- Partially responsible for team morale, team efficiency, and monitoring performance of team members
- Coordinates with team members, staff, municipalities, consultants and clients
- Provides highly technical design and quality control
- Processes plans and resolves issues with plan reviewers
- Evaluates and anticipates design risks and opportunities
- Assists with project and team management
- Mentors other design staff in areas of technical expertise
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering or related field preferred
- 4+ years’ experience in land development or site development engineering
- Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.), AZ P.E. preferred or ability to obtain AZ within 6 months
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD is required, Civil 3D is preferred
- Computer design skills including spreadsheets and scheduling
- Capable of preparing design on most projects
- Possess understanding of civil engineering principles and construction plans
