Civil Engineering Project Manager – Land Development

HILGARTWILSON, a civil engineering, land-use planning, surveying and construction management firm, is seeking to hire a Civil Engineering Project Manager to become part of our growing civil engineering design team involved in a variety of private sector projects. This position within our Land Development & Infrastructure Group develops engineering plans and all project elements for many exciting residential projects, including master-planned communities.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the preparation of design reports, design plans, and other documents
  • Responsible for quality control, schedules and oversight of plan production
  • Delegates work and gives team technical guidance assuring design is technically sound and cost efficient
  • Coordinates with team members, staff, municipalities, consultants and clients
  • Provides highly technical design and quality control
  • Processes plans with the local jurisdiction
  • Responsible for project billing, project proposals and client satisfaction
  • Mentors dedicated design staff in areas of technical expertise

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • 10+ years civil engineering experience with public and/or private entities
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in AZ or ability to obtain in AZ within 6 months
  • Strong technical skills and capable of preparing design on land development projects
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD
  • Displays strong judgement and organizational skills

  • Self-motivated and able to manage and meet multiple critical deadlines
